In the training program besides the classical diagnostic methods students will be familiar with the most advanced molecular techniques.

In addition to the compulsory subjects students can deep study the pathogens of each horticultural crops and the ways of agricultural, biological, chemical and integrated plant protection by choosing optional subjects.

Our department is also responsible for teaching the weed science; the origin, the biology and the life forms of weeds, the damages caused by weeds; the weeds of certain crops and the related methods of weed control.
